Secret Indulgence

Today was a good day, for one, I actually got around to blogging, the second day in a row… something that is really rare in my life recently. The second thing, we had the most amazing autumn day. The sun was out and it was balmy warm. The third thing was that I got around to go for a manicure – even if my best friend in real life wasn’t with me. Going for a manicure and pedicure was our fortnightly indulgence. I say ‘was’ because she has recently moved away, so it will be a solo event in future. The salon where we go has this amazing massage chairs where we could sit for hours, be pampered and chatted away.

I also had time to edit more pictures. The plan was to do a goth-type post yesterday, but if you read my last blog, that changed half way through the day, so no better time than right now. I have been seeing this tunic at .Shi for ages and last night it just felt right and I created the rest of the look around it. Also I took my time with choosing the right pose. Recently I have been needing a change of work, but not only a change of jobs, I needed a change in careers. So I set out and applied, and I’m happy to report that I did find another job. The hours will be even longer, and I might blog even less, but I’m really excited. I’ll start in two weeks and it’s hectic finalizing everything.

The Flickr Struggle

The day before yesterday I tried to log into Flickr with my Google account without success. I know it has been giving me the message forever, that soon this will not be a possibility anymore. And I was really good, I immediately tried to link my old Yahoo account to the Flickr account, but it just didn’t want to work. So I gave up and decided to worry about it when I need too. The time to worry about it arrived yesterday.

Luckily I am on leave and had time to play around, stress, cry and curse. Nothing helped, so totally defeated, I turned it into something positive. I logged into my old unused Yahoo account, uploaded all my photos since 2011, all neatly in albums, named and dated, then tried to add all my contacts again, and added bucket loads of groups and by the end of the day, I stepped back, and thought… this was a blessing. I am so organised. Okay I did loose a lot of contacts, but with time I will get there again. I was feeling really accomplished.

This morning I woke up all refreshed and as my custom the past days, I lay all snuggley in bed, going through my Flickr contacts photos (my original account as it never logged out on my phone), when my phone informs me there is an update. I thought oh well, always willing to have the newest software and up to date, no better time than the present. A few minutes later, I was horrified!! With the update, my original Flickr account was signed out. I panicked! It was my ONLY link to my original, much loved account! Stubbornly I tried logging in with my Google account again and (YAY!!!), there was easy prompts to link my original account to a new Yahoo address which I had to create. So just like that, I am the proud owner of not just one but two ACCESSIBLE Flickr accounts! (yeah, don’t ask what I’m going to do with two). Suddenly my yesterday feels a lot less accomplished and I’m back on my messy original account, but so much happier.

After my Flickr ordeal, I did have  moment to go to the 100 Block Fashion Fair and picked up this gorgeous dress, shoes and pose. I really did feel accomplished yesterday!

Patience

Patience is not really one of my strongest tributes.  I re-wrote this post a few times as I keep changing my mind on what I’m the most inpatient about, believe me there are a few things. But then I sat back and looked at it again, and then I realized, they are actually not as important to me that I want to write about it.

Except, maybe the fact that I still don’t have a new graphics card. I know, I have been going on and on about this but, I bought an awesome, top of the range PC without a graphics card, simply because I didn’t want to settle for an “okay” card, which is affordable. I want the best. Therefore I’m still using my old, significantly out of date one, thinking it’s still workable until I can tick everything above my graphics card on my priority list. Seriously though,  it’s like wearing a gorgeous Coco Chanel outfit, with flip-flops!!!  It’s hideous! Unfortunately all I can do is wait… and try to smile every time my graphics card crashes.. I’ll have to work on the attitude and good things comes to those who wait..

Busy’ness!

Although I lovvee that I’m finally embracing having a real life, I am  so behind with blogging and wish I can balance things better! So without further complaining I want to tell you about the  Praxis Layla top. This is really a diverse top as it comes with a hud with four different styles and each style comes with at least six different colors.

Then also the Love Donna Flora Event opened two days ago and it kicked off with a bang! The sim crashed twice and apart from that, people were loving the layout, the wide range of products and designs as well as the cause.  One person’s life is really going to be less stressful because of that.
