One year of blogging ♥

Today is my first anniversary blogging. The journey was amazing. It was tough sometimes, but mostly it’s the most fulfilling thing I decided to do in Second Life. I look back and seen how I have grown, my mistakes, my successes. Friendships made, friendships lost. Loved, and love lost. But it all made me the person I am today and the blog I have today, and so far I’m pretty happy with the outcome. Thank you so much for the support. ♥♥

To shop Inworld or Marketplace

Which way is the best to do your shopping? I have heard a few opinions on this and decided to put together a list of the pro’s and con’s of shopping inworld vs shopping on marketplace.

The positives for Marketplace are:
1. You can search an item easily.

2. You have different designers and options of one product.

3. Easy to compare prices.

4. Great way to find more designers.

Negatives for Marketplace:
1. Delivery failure

2. You may see a variety of different designers, but not all products from one designer may be listed.

Positives for Inworld:
1. Easy to try a demo, as it is just there and then decide if you will buy it or not.

2. Mostly the entire designer’s items range is displayed.

3. Mostly the product is not delivered boxed, so it’s easy to see what you get and you don’t need to find a place to unpack.

4. Can be part of exploring a new sim as most designers now put alot of effort into their store environment.

Negatives for Inworld:
1. Waiting for stores and items to rez inworld.

2. You mostly see only items of one designer.

I think there are many more that you will be able to think of, but these are the basics. In my opinion, I like to have a quick look at Marketplace, buy a demo and then tp to the inworld store and buy it. I normally then see more things that I like and of course I get to explore too.

This dress however, I have found on Marketplace and then I tp’ed to the store, as I loved the design and range. There were so many new things out and I spent a lot of linden in store as well as group gifts.

Red for You

Have you ever wondered about the color red? It is a very complex color really. It can represent so much and is significantly emotionally intense. Red symbolizes fire, blood, energy, danger, strength, power, determination but also and, this is the best, passion, desire, joy and love.

I decided to represent desire and strength today as this top from .wound is enough to make any passer-by weak at the knees. Sexy yet playful and altogether timeless, the  animal print is great to transform any ensemble.

A long time friend IM’ed me over the weekend asking me to style his female alt avi. The instruction was she needs to ‘pop’, turn heads when she walks into a club. WOW tall order. I’m not sure if I got it right but I had fun doing it. She still needs a lot of work, so guys out there, what do you think makes a female avi ‘pop’?  I really need help! I might use the info for my avi. 😉

– The Guilt

When I was still relatively new and was spending most of my time at The Shelter, we used to joke about ‘How you know you spend too much time in Second Life’. I know we all made those jokes but it was fun to revisit some of the reasons, so here goes:

1. When you look at your hair in the mirror in RL and think… omg, I’ve been ruthed!

2. You meet someone new and you have an overwhelming urge to look at their profile.

3. When you find yourself moving like your AO.

4. Thinking of clothing items you want to wear and not being able to remember if you own them in RL or SL.

5. You buy new furniture in RL and wonder if it will take you over your prim limit!

6. When you sign documents with your second life name.

7. Instead of laughing in RL you actually say ‘LOL’ or ‘sadface’

I’m sure we can all identify with this. let me know if you have more! In the photos I’m wearing another romper from 20.FIVE. In my opinion it must be my favorite so far. It fits my shape really well and I had fun playing around with different looks and had a hard time deciding on a final one.
