Safety

Have you noticed that before you take a road trip, people wish you safety? When we drive past a car wrecked, I always hope people were not hurt.

But thinking about that a little, is it not pain that makes us feel human? Make us feel real? We all chase happiness and safety, which is of course good and what we all deserve. Thing is, we only want highs, but how will you know you are high, when you have no lows? How can you even have high’s without lows? If you only had high’s will it not just be a flat line? This, in medical terms, means no life. I choose to live.

Talking about life, I visited the Paris sim, and it’s beautiful, elegant, with an Eiffel tower. I took this photo there wearing my little black dress, which is a new release at Ducknipple. Again this comes in 12 colors, so you can be wearing a new dress every time 🙂

Good Photography

The one thing I enjoy most about blogging is taking photographs. Shortly after I started Second Life, I was taking photos to capture memories and always strive to improve the quality of my photos.  I said it before, it does not matter how good you are at Photoshop, the basic photo needs to be of a good quality first. In most instances if you take a good quality photograph you do not even have to make a lot of enhancements in Photoshop or whatever program you use.

To improve my picture quality I constantly look for good tutorials. Sometimes you get so used to what you are doing, that you forget to make a small change, which make a huge difference. Have a look at the tutorial Harlow Heslop has put together, I have found it very informative and thought I’d share it with you. You may not want to start something professional, but snapshots are a great way to journal your Second Life and the memories are priceless.

In the photos below, I am wearing the new release from Delirium, although I changed the pants to a more plain pants; I love the top and the earrings and necklace are included as well as boots. I could not resist wearing the newest release from N-core though.

Gossip

Face it, we all love a good story and to gossip. There are some of us that just go ahead and discuss everyone with everybody. And there are some that can be trusted, but almost always, in the end even if you are not a regular gossip, you still do sometimes. That is not always a negative thing and intentions are not always bad. Sometimes you just need to get something off your chest without trying to belittle or incriminate someone.

So the other day, I was chatting to a friend and he told me about this interesting blog where you can ‘get something off your chest’ anonymously by posting your secret of the week. See SLSecrets here. It is only posted weekly, so you need to probably make your secret really interesting for it to be published, but even if it did not publish, you still got the opportunity to submit it and get it off your chest. Be sure to look at the Sweet Friday posts too, those are really heart warming.
