See Beneath Your Beautiful

Beneath Your Beautiful

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful?
Would you let me see beneath your perfect?
Take it off now, girl, take it off now, girl
I wanna see inside
Would you let me see beneath your beautiful tonight?

Beneath Your Beautiful

I have been amazed by friendliness and offers of friendship the past few weeks, but one occasion has really stood out for me. I moved to a new sim, which Morgan Faith (InSLomniac) landscaped. As I logged in yesterday, I thought – YUS good time to get a blog out. Have not had time for a few days and then I’m hitting the clubs and hanging with some friends. But as I strip myself naked, with the intent to redo my whole style, I get a knock at my door. Caming out as I have not noticed anyone enter the region, I was surprised to find about 7 other sim inhabitants at my door bearing food and drinks to welcome me to the sim!

I have to say I have never felt so welcomed to any place I have ever lived in Second Life. And also my alphas refused to rez for the next half hour and so did any other piece of non-mesh clothing I attempted to put on to cover myself. So everyone that met me.. met uhm.. all of me. O.O

But I need to remind you about the 100 Block Event that is starting on the 5th May! So you can cover your nakedness… A lot of top designers will be part of the event and everyone will have one event exclusive…so to get it you need be there! This dress is from Pretty Liar and will be available at the 100 Block Event and comes in a few funky colors. And then I went for a ride with Sixs Helix on a quad bike and my hair caught a bit of wind.

Also check out the tattoos from Rebelstar on Market Place, it’s affordable, classy and comes with all the clothes layer options as well as faded and dark.

‘The process of becoming obsolete; falling into disuse or becoming out of date.

I came across this word in a book I was reading this afternoon and I liked it, the way it rolls off the tongue. Things become obsolescence when it’s not needed, and things become less needed when you substitute it with something else or outgrow it. That in itself can be a good thing, as growth is always good. (or mostly, if it’s not sideways 😉 ).

There was a time last year when I thought normal shirt, pants, jacket layered clothes will become obsolescence due to mesh, but suddenly Lola Tango’s was introduced and all mesh clothing production stopped to go back to normal layered clothes – or am I totally wrong? We still have the same old templates, but it feels like nothing new is being made. I was wondering, did the creators jump on the chance to rather make Tango appliers for their clothes than making mesh products as it’s easier? I appreciate that to make a brand new mesh product, needs skill and time. Did creators take the easy way out to stay with the familiar? These days I see more male mesh products and mesh furniture than new female mesh clothes. Is there a shift in Second Life? Or is that just my perception?

Something that will never become obsolescence, is Second Life fashion, mesh or not. I visited Collaborate and the new event The Liaison Collaborative and picked up this cute outfit. Also I love the new N-Core shoes!

I stumbled upon blogging as I was always hungry for something new and different to wear. I treasure my individuality and  don’t mind being a trend setter (the vanity!); well that and I had way too much time on my hands… and my (currently very low) weekly allowance, which is still a tender topic.

Most blogs I visited and still visit are about Second Life fashion and style, and there are pretty weird and wonderful things out there. But there are also those that feature tutorials – we all need some grey stuff exercise once in a while to better ourselves. And then my favorite, the stories. I would love to be able to blog a story  one day. But with my writing skill that may be a very distant dream!

I have learned alot from blogs and most of what I’m doing today was from what I have learned there. I can list my favorite blogs if you are interested and they are (was hard to keep them to only 5):

This made me wonder, which blogs do you like?  I’d like to invite you to list your favorite blogs in comments.  But before you do, look at the outfit below, I picked up the pants at Coco Designs and the top at the Whore Couture Fair.
