Pink Fusion

Exciting news today is that The Pink Fusion hunt started! It is a 5L hunt, and so worth it. My hair, dress and nails are all from the hunt. It starts at Razor and the next landmark is included in the item.

I need to mention something that happened to me in SL today. I always go on about getting back to good. Today I was walking in a store, minding my own business, when a random stranger gave me 500L. I’m more used to a random stranger asking me to give him 500L. Of course I IM’ed him to ask if he made a mistake, and he said: “no, I want you to smile”. I did smile. I didn’t smile because I was 500L richer, I smiled because he wanted to spoil someone randomly and make the person feel good. I don’t need the 500L but I will pay it forward. 🙂  Have a great day everyone!

Shocking Discovery

This past week just ran me over and moved at the speed of a runaway train. Leaving me totally bewildered, overwhelmed but amused at the same time. Strange combination of emotions but we all have our strange moments. I have also discovered that I share personality traits with one of New Zealand’s high profile criminals. How is this relevant to this post? That’s what amused me this week or was that the bewildered part.. well that’s up for discussion.

Something I’m sure of though are the million review copies in my inbox, which contributed to the overwhelmed part. So let me tell you about some of it. Have you heard of the Unknown Hunt? I think this is a wonderful idea to get new designers noticed. The designers participating in this hunt only opened their doors after June this year. What’s your RGB number?

Do you hate matching your skin to your shoes? Well, you need to read on as I’m going to make your day. Gos and N-core has made it so easy to match our skin these days, it’s the only brands that we want to wear because of this and lucky for us their shoe range are amazing, so it’s not a chore. But what if you have this stunning skin that you are just in love with and it is not in their hud system? Or want to wear another designer shoe (cos face it, there are really great designers out there)? It’s pretty easy actually. Someone told me about this a long time ago, but I was reminded of it a few weeks ago after I asked a skin creator for RGB numbers. These are the easy steps:

1. I suggest you set your windlight setting to Midday (Ctr + Shift + Y) or my personal preference – Nam’s Optimal Skin and prim windlight.

2. For optimal tinting I also suggest you deactivate your Nearby/Local lights and projectors setup. This is easily done by going to Preferences (Ctr + P) , then click on your “Graphics” tab, un-tick “local lights”, “Basic shaders” and “Atmospheric shaders”.

2. Ensure that your Advanced tab (Ctr + Alt + D) and  Developer tab (Ctr + Alt + Q) are activated.

The next bit is for Firestorm, but if you are on a different viewer, just look around in the Develop tab, there should be similar options.

3. Click on the Develop Tab, and choose “Show Info” from the menu, then click “Show color under cursor”.

You will notice that you have numbers at the bottom right of your screen. Hover over anything with your mouse, and the colors RGB numbers will show.  Just add your leg RGB numbers to your shoe hud and viola, you will have an exact or at least very close match to your skin. Please note, that different windlights will influence this, also when you add your RGB numbers, start with a white pallet on your hud.

To deactivate this, just go back to the Develop tab -> Show info  and untick “Show color under cursor”.

Since I’m talking about shoes, N-Core has just released this awesome pair of heels. I used the above method to match my skin. I’m very pleased with the results.

I had way to much time on my hands and played around with a different look. I was really searching for a headband to go with this outfit and then happen to see this very chic baroque top hat. Summer House

Normally I don’t blog furniture and houses. Simply because I can’t seem to take a good photo. I never knew which angle works better and which windlight to use. So I end up with 100 photos, and I never use it. But I had to blog this cute summer house from There’s No Place Like Home. The photo does not do it justice. It is a Fist Pump Hunt gift, so it’s totally for free,  and really, really cute.

Fragile Passion

OMG, Revenge Porn. I recently read an article in the July addition of the Marie Claire magazine.

This girl was standing in line at a checkout, when a guy tapped her on the shoulder and told her he saw her on a porn website and that she is a whore and cheating slut. She was so shocked about what this stranger told her and went home to look at this website. Not only was she naked sprawled all over the first page, she had the most clicks for the week and several other porn sites featured her as well. This was available for everyone to see… her family, friends, colleagues and future employers. But how did it get there… photos that was taken for her ex boyfriend exclusively.

It is about guys taking revenge on their ex-girlfriends by posting naked photos, including their personal details on various websites. Tagging it with “cheater”, “slut”, “ho” etc. These photos were posted on the website without her consent. And it is happening with a million other females. These websites has gone viral. Apparently, if something is posted anonymously it is not illegal and the website can not be sued or shut down. If you find the person who posted it, you can sue that person. The boyfriends who posts this, just claim that their computers were hacked.

The guy hosting the website, says: “we have no choice to believe that the person posting these photos is in fact telling the truth” He provides a community service ‘Get the dirt before you get hurt’. He rarely remove photos (at a cost) as this will disappoint his fans. He says “We live in a new age… and this is going to be a permanent part of it”

In a world like Second Life, it is easy to fall really hard for a guy – heart and soul. You trust him enough to sent him explicit pictures… ladies be careful.
