Let the light in

So much inspiration the past few days! Have you ever had so much inspiration that you don’t know what to use first. What a wonderful feeling.

The attached picture was something new I tried. It took me a while to do. I wanted to have more depth in my pictures, so I was playing around with the viewer settings. The plan was to have lots of light from behind, but with the millions of windlights available on Firestorm I couldn’t find one that satisfied me. I didn’t get the exact effect that I had in mind, but this was pretty close to it. My new mission is to create depth with Photoshop and then at some point I will combine the two. Looking forward to it.

I’m wearing boots from *deeR* (old inventory item) and the new Tee*fy romper available at Collaborate. If you need more info, just leave a message and I will give it to you… so hard to move away from fashion blogging! The background is my platform with buildings from Apple Fall and benches from {what next}.

Much love!

You can never dream too much

Are you excited?

Firestorm had a meeting with inworld residents Saturday, 10 August and they informed us of what was happening over the next few weeks. I did not attend but I read up on it a little. The thing that I am the most excited about is materials. That will enable us to see textures in 3d, so it will look more realistic. They used the example of currently you see a button on a shirt as a flat, “drawn on” button, but when materials are enabled you will be able to see it as a button that actually stands out. Your settings will have to be bumped up a little, but it would make photography much more realistic.

I know that the current Official Viewer already has this function, but I’m prepared to wait on Firestorm. Strawberry Singh did a blog post on this. Have a look and see how amazing the hair look. Although I have to admit, I’m more excited about materials on clothes textures than hair textures.

Dead Dollz

We are in an exciting time for Second Life. There are so many improvements to come, it’s wonderful to be part of the change.

Something that didn’t change is the amazing quality of items that are available at The Thrift Shop. The dress I’m wearing is from Dead Dollz and comes with a cutsie lace jacket and a bow collar, but I opted not wear it with this outfit, as I didn’t want to take the attention away from the dress. I really love the neckline and the detail of the bow on the side. You will have to check it out, as everything at this event is 50% off the normal price.
