!District 5 Announcement!

I have great news and some not so great news.. The great news is that you can expect seriously awesome stuff from the designers in this round of District 5. I’m so excited. The less great news is that you will have to wait a little longer to go shopping. District 5 will now only open 13 August but it will run to the 04 September. So.. Great news again!!

Your love is like a shadow

I went shopping with a friend when I saw this outfit. When I said I was going to blog it, he said I was crazy, as it was a crazy outfit. It did crab me though, from all the awesome outfits at Z, this one caught my attention. Then I had to decide what I was going to do with it, especially because it’s not what I normally wear, but for some reason the picture then just came together. When it was done I was wondering how to describe it and when I don’t have my own words, I use a song.

In the end I did decide on Bonny Tyler’s Total Eclipse. I particularly liked the words “your love is like a shadow on me all the time” and then this morning on FB I read someone said, “we are getting divorce even though we love each other. When the divorce was in process I wrote her a letter to tell her about all the things I love about her and later she did the same, but on a scrap paper. I said, really? You could not even find a new piece of paper, and she said, I knew that is what you would see”.  So this image for me is the shadow of love that you will always carry with you, but the birds symbolises that it flies away if it’s not nurtured and also, sometimes no matter how much you long for a person, how much you love that person, you are just not willing to compromise and love is just not enough.
