The Mask

Recently I have been standing on the side lines and been watching in on what was happening in my virtual world. The most overwhelming thing I have been seeing is that everyone is wearing a mask. Everyone in some way pretend. Some seem to look happy, but was hiding pain. Some seem to care about others  but really show concern just so they can build up themselves or build up their image. There are so many that say “well at least I’m not fake”. Other just pretended to be what they are not to fit in.  I have to smile because in some way or another you do pretend to be something you aren’t. That is called being human.

Darkware has recently released the Black Death Mask, which has 13 varieties. Vox wondered if I would blog this, knowing full well being dark is not my style, but I decided to give it a go. Hope I didn’t fail! This mask really attach to the face and Vox has outdone himself. If you have the grunge/goth look, this would be a perfect addition to your inventory.

The dress I’m wearing is one of the latest releases from Dark Wing and is available at the Soho Market. This dress is really versatile as it has the lace at the bottom to wear as a gown or you can detach it, and only wear the dress as a pencil dress. But that is not all. The corset and skirt can also be worn separably. It also has Lola appliers,  which in fact make this great addition to your inventory.

Serious security flaw with SL media implementation? This may be old news to you, but I was recently scouting the forums for some interesting reads and this was posted yesterday. Since I started Second Life in 2009 I had warnings that it was not ‘safe’ to steam music. Is this just rumors?  If not?  How is that going to affect clubs? Is it only media or streaming too?  So more and more people started to question this and the reply: ‘It is not an identity disclosure risk, though that is part of it. It is a full account compromise risk,’ ‘Do with the information what you will. I will post more details as I have them. I don’t think it would affect those who control their own streams. This is about going onto land that has media set onto it that is not under your control.’

After reading a very lengthily post and people getting off topic, it was clarified that streaming music on your own land was safe, as was streaming music in clubs. It is when you are out exploring and you do not know the source, that you should deactivate your media. Also, never let any SL Client store your password, always enter your password and if it is already stored, manually clear and clear your cache too. The debate is still ongoing and if you guys are interested I can link you to it. Just leave me an IM or comment. 🙂

Busy’ness!

Although I lovvee that I’m finally embracing having a real life, I am  so behind with blogging and wish I can balance things better! So without further complaining I want to tell you about the  Praxis Layla top. This is really a diverse top as it comes with a hud with four different styles and each style comes with at least six different colors.

Then also the Love Donna Flora Event opened two days ago and it kicked off with a bang! The sim crashed twice and apart from that, people were loving the layout, the wide range of products and designs as well as the cause.  One person’s life is really going to be less stressful because of that.
