And I get on my high horse when people judge others. I know I do too sometimes, but then I keep it to myself and move on. You can not judge someone unless you have walked in their shoes or if you are going to pay for their sins. Rather use that energy and live the right way and make a difference.

I have been a bit layed back recently. I blame the cold, icey weather and that it is much nicer to lounge in front of a hot fire and sit at my PC with a boring little heater. I have to admit that I’m pretty ready for summer about now.
But since I’m so relaxed and since it’s summer in most of the world, I tossed on a pair shorts from The Secret Store, cutesy top from Coco (available at Chapter Four) and heels from BREATHE.

I had a really interesting week. I signed up for a course on personalities a few months ago and attended this week. It is amazing all the things you can learn about yourself and the people around you. I have known most of the obvious things as I’m a total self critic (which was also confirmed this week). But there was so much more of my behavior that I was made aware off and it makes it so much easier to identify now.
One of the biggest things I certainly did learn this week was that we were 5 strangers in the group and it was easy for me to assess all of them. To pin their personalities down. At the end of the workshop the facilitator asked us to give each person a reflection of how we see each other and asked to keep it to about 2 minutes each. When it was my turn, I was waiting expectantly and they all just stared at me (which was awkward) and eventually one person ventured… you are an extremely nice lady.
I realized that we were thrown into a room for a full week and we discussed really intense subjects, yet no one knew anything about me, while I knew so much about them even though I really interacted and participated actively. I’ve learned that I’m a much more private person than I realized.

I have realized how lucky I am today. Today, they demolished the Christchurch Police station that was damaged beyond repair four years ago in an earthquake that flattened my city. It’s a major landmark in my city’s history. In it’s place, it’s planned for a hotel to be build. I work in the building next door to it and when I go to work tomorrow, there will just be a huge hole.
Why am I lucky though? I have lived through so many events that made the history books. I lived in South Africa through apartheid, I was in Cape Town when Nelson Mandela was released from prison, I was living in South Africa when he became president and 10 years after and now, I’m part of the rebuild of a wonderful city after a devastating earthquake.

Hope you are having a wonderful Monday. Mine was pretty busy at RL work. I skipped gym today because I worked late and since it’s almost winter, it is already dark when I get home. That should really not be an excuse to not go to the gym. To be honest I can make up a million reasons to not go to the gym, I normally try to ignore them.
Well I’m off to go snuggle with my hubby in front of the fire and to watch Game of Thrones. I heard it was the creepiest and most disturbing episode ever. So looking forward to it! Happy Monday World!

I woke up this morning when it was still dark, so I got up and opened my blinds and waited for the sun to come up. It was so beautiful. Then I got up, made myself a cup of coffee and went outside to sit on the porch, the sun on my face, snuggled up in my gown, sipping coffee. It’s almost winter here, you see, and it has been raining the past few days. So the sun was so welcome. Oliver (the dog) was sniffing in the garden, disturbing the birds. It made me smile, it was a perfect morning.
I felt like writing in my blog again, so here I am… writing and humming to Three Days Grace and it’s many hours later than this morning. I’m just happy I wrote something. Hopefully I’ll feel like writing again tomorrow. I’d like that. Wishing the world a happy Sunday.
