Magical Land

I put my steaming mug of hot chocolate down. Oliver looks up at me, woken by my movement. It’s so cozy in the room with the fire crackling. Trompie, curled up on the warm blanket, is only a ball of fur. Oliver follows with a waging tail as I walk to the window looking out at the white landscape. I love this snow blanket. The heavy snow on the roof, hugging us to the big mass amount of snow on the ground. Protecting us. It’s like the whole world holds it breath while the snowflakes slowly, silently drifts to the ground. The big silence, the twinkling lights, like a magical land, full of wonder and undiscovered mysteries.

I look down at Oliver, our breaths making little white clouds against the window… “You want to go play outside, Boy?”
